For sometime now, I was being challenged by my Bible teacher friend, to look deeper into Scripture.
For over two years, he would gently lead me to look into God's Word to aid me in my writing and blogging.
Of course, I continued to write in my own esoteric way, until finally one day on 6 September 2019, there was no denying the Holy Spirit any longer.
That's how God's Spirit works I suppose, knowing what had been in my heart all along for such a long time -- to know God in full.
I was also blessed to have encountered Mike Gendron online -- a minister who pointed things out gently.
Also, he had been a Catholic for 34 years as well as a former rocket scientist from Cape Kennedy, Florida.
I, too, was born Catholic but had too many questions and preferred to worship God in my own, quiet way.
But having been a journalist, my inquiring mind kept inquiring about their dogma, doctrine, ways, and methods.
I was drawn to Mike Gendron primarily because he said something which I also believed in:
"The Gospel is about Christ alone."
We erring humans get distracted by too many things of the world, buying into the greedy and deceptive world system, and forget Christ.
But no longer, my spiritual eyes have been opened after watching Dr. David R. Reagan's wake-up call from these two videos.
I think what was missing in my Catholic education is not having a real relationship with Jesus, for everything was laid out by the pope, priests, and nuns through a lot of rituals.
It's time to get un-doctrinated and start reading and loving the Bible -- God's Word -- and learning more about His Son, Jesus, as our Teacher and Savior.
My Bible teacher friend pointed out today the "diligence" of the Berean Jews:
“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”
Acts 17:11 NIV
That's how I like to study, to keep testing things and gain greater understanding, even as I allow the Holy Spirit to instruct me precisely so I can get God right in my heart.
