The LEVANT prophecy

Psalm 9:16

King James Version

16 The Lord is known by the judgment

which he executeth:

the wicked is snared

in the work of his own hands.

Higgaion. Selah.

If you think the world is exciting, wait till GOD makes you born again.

Then you will know what exciting really means.

For He will fill you with His astounding WORD.

Many of which are prophecies.

Like what happened today.

SPIRIT led me to a particular verse:

Zephaniah 1:10

King James Version

10 And it shall come to pass in that day,

saith the Lord,

that there shall be the noise of a cry

from the fish gate

and an howling from the second,

and a great crashing from the hills.

So, we wrote about the "Fish Gate".

Of course, SPIRIT wasn't done yet.

If anything, He was just warming up.

At the end of the article, He led me to two more things we needed to explore:

The Levant, and the remnant.

SPIRIT led me to a particular chapter that revealed what would happen to the Levant, during the "day of the Lord".

What is the Levant, but these countries:

"In its narrowest sense, which is in use today in archaeology and other cultural contexts, it is equivalent to Cyprus and a stretch of land bordering the Mediterranean Sea in western Asia:[4][5] i.e. the historical region of Syria ("Greater Syria"), which includes present-day Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, the Palestinian territories and most of Turkey southwest of the middle Euphrates. Its overwhelming characteristic is that it represents the land bridge between Africa and Eurasia."

If that's getting you all interested, it should, for GOD -- through prophet Zephaniah -- said:

Zephaniah 2:1-3

King James Version

2 Gather yourselves together,

yea, gather together, O nation not desired;

2 Before the decree bring forth,

before the day pass as the chaff,

before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you,

before the day of the Lord's anger come upon you.

3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth,

which have wrought his judgment;

seek righteousness,

seek meekness:

it may be ye shall be hid

in the day of the Lord's anger.

Zephaniah 2:4-5

King James Version

4 For Gaza shall be forsaken,

and Ashkelon a desolation:

they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day,

and Ekron shall be rooted up.

5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast,

the nation of the Cherethites

the word of the Lord is against you;

O Canaan, the land of the Philistines

I will even destroy thee,

that there shall be no inhabitant.

Zephaniah 2:8-10

King James Version

8 I have heard the reproach of Moab

and the revilings of the children of Ammon

whereby they have reproached my people,

and magnified themselves against their border.

9 Therefore as I live,

saith the Lord of hosts,

the God of Israel,

Surely Moab shall be as Sodom

and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah

even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits,

and a perpetual desolation:

the residue of my people shall spoil them,

and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

10 This shall they have for their pride,

because they have reproached and magnified themselves

against the people of the Lord of hosts.

Zephaniah 2:11-13

King James Version

11 The Lord will be terrible unto them:

for he will famish all the gods of the earth;

and men shall worship him,

every one from his place,

even all the isles of the heathen.

12 Ye Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword.

13 And he will stretch out his hand against the north,

and destroy Assyria

and will make Nineveh a desolation,

and dry like a wilderness.

The fish gate article we wrote already spoke of what will happen to Judah and Jerusalem, for their idolatry:

Zephaniah 1:4

King James Version

4 I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah

and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem

and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place,

and the name of the Chemarims with the priests;

Zephaniah 1:18

King James Version

18 Neither their silver nor their gold

shall be able to deliver them

in the day of the Lord's wrath;

but the whole land shall be devoured

by the fire of his jealousy:

for he shall make even a speedy riddance

of all them that dwell in the land.

But there will be a remnant.

GOD has always been consistent about that.

These verses confirm it:

Zephaniah 2:6-7

King James Version

6 And the sea coast shall be dwellings

and cottages for shepherds,

 and folds for flocks.

7 And the coast shall be

for the remnant of the house of Judah;

they shall feed thereupon:

in the houses of Ashkelon

shall they lie down in the evening:

for the Lord their God shall visit them,

and turn away their captivity.

Zephaniah 3:13

King James Version

13 The remnant of Israel

shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies;

neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth:

for they shall feed and lie down,

and none shall make them afraid.

When GOD says, "the day of the Lord", it is surely an eventful thing.

Wherein He will mete out punishment, and justice.

His intent?

Zephaniah 3:8-12

King James Version

8 Therefore wait ye upon me,

saith the Lord,

until the day that I rise up to the prey:

for my determination is to gather the nations,

that I may assemble the kingdoms,

to pour upon them mine indignation,

even all my fierce anger:

for all the earth shall be devoured

with the fire of my jealousy.

After which:

Zephaniah 3:9

King James Version

9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language,

that they may all call upon the name of the Lord,

to serve him with one consent.

Zephaniah 3:10

King James Version

10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants,

even the daughter of my dispersed,

shall bring mine offering.

And to Israel:

Zephaniah 3:11-12

King James Version

11 In that day shalt thou not be ashamed

for all thy doings,

wherein thou hast transgressed against me:

for then I will take away out of the midst of thee

them that rejoice in thy pride,

and thou shalt no more be haughty

because of my holy mountain.

12 I will also leave in the midst of thee

an afflicted and poor people,

and they shall trust in the name of the Lord.

GOD has given us His love.

But man keeps sinning.

We keep backsliding.

But one day, GOD will end all sin, and hardheartedness.

Revelation 6:17

King James Version

17 For the great day of his wrath is come;

and who shall be able to stand?

That's why He sent His Son, JESUS, to save us.

Who commanded us:

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying,

The time is fulfilled,

and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye,

and believe the gospel.

We must not be proud:

Proverbs 3:7

King James Version

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes:

fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

All have been warned:

Psalm 2:12

King James Version

12 Kiss the Son,

lest he be angry,

and ye perish from the way,

when his wrath is kindled but a little.

Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

JESUS has this power:

Revelation 1:18

King James Version

18 I am he that liveth, and was dead;

and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen;

and have the keys of hell and of death.

Zephaniah is considered one of the "minor" prophets.

But his three short chapters are "major".

How many more warnings does the LORD have to give us, before we take heed?

He already sent His LAST emissary.

Hebrews 10:26

King James Version

26 For if we sin wilfully

after that we have received

the knowledge of the truth,

there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

The SEVEN trumpets

Revelation 8:6

King James Version

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets

prepared themselves to sound.

Only JESUS is worthy of opening the SEVEN seals.

And when these are opened, seven angels will be given seven trumpets.

The Bible tells us about this future event:

Revelation 8:1-5

King James Version

8 And when he had opened the seventh seal,

there was silence in heaven

about the space of half an hour.

2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God;

and to them were given seven trumpets.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar,

having a golden censer;

and there was given unto him much incense,

that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints

upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense,

which came with the prayers of the saints,

ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 And the angel took the censer,

and filled it with fire of the altar,

and cast it into the earth:

and there were voices, and thunderings,

and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Imagine the silence of half an hour.

Imagine the seven angels preparing to sound.

Imagine the sounds, lightnings, and earthquake.

Here's what will happen when each trumpet sounds.

The FIRST trumpet:

Revelation 8:7

King James Version

7 The first angel sounded,

and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood,

and they were cast upon the earth:

and the third part of trees was burnt up,

and all green grass was burnt up.

The SECOND trumpet:

Revelation 8:8-9

King James Version

8 And the second angel sounded,

and as it were a great mountain burning with fire

was cast into the sea:

and the third part of the sea became blood;

9 And the third part of the creatures

which were in the sea, and had life, died;

and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

The THIRD trumpet:

Revelation 8:10-11

King James Version

10 And the third angel sounded,

and there fell a great star from heaven,

burning as it were a lamp,

and it fell upon the third part of the rivers,

and upon the fountains of waters;

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood:

and the third part of the waters became wormwood;

and many men died of the waters,

because they were made bitter.

The FOURTH trumpet:

Revelation 8:12-13

King James Version

12 And the fourth angel sounded,

and the third part of the sun was smitten,

and the third part of the moon,

and the third part of the stars;

so as the third part of them was darkened,

and the day shone not for a third part of it,

and the night likewise.

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel

flying through the midst of heaven,

saying with a loud voice,

Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth

by reason of the other voices of the trumpet

of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

The FIFTH trumpet:

Revelation 9:1-12

King James Version

9 And the fifth angel sounded,

and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth:

and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

2 And he opened the bottomless pit;

and there arose a smoke out of the pit,

as the smoke of a great furnace;

and the sun and the air were darkened

by reason of the smoke of the pit.

3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth:

and unto them was given power,

as the scorpions of the earth have power.

4 And it was commanded them

that they should not hurt the grass of the earth,

neither any green thing, neither any tree;

but only those men which have not the seal of God

in their foreheads.

5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them,

but that they should be tormented five months:

and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion,

when he striketh a man.

6 And in those days shall men seek death,

and shall not find it;

and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses

prepared unto battle;

and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold,

and their faces were as the faces of men.

8 And they had hair as the hair of women,

and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.

9 And they had breastplates,

as it were breastplates of iron;

and the sound of their wings

was as the sound of chariots

of many horses running to battle.

10 And they had tails like unto scorpions,

and there were stings in their tails:

and their power was to hurt men five months.

11 And they had a king over them,

which is the angel of the bottomless pit,

whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon,

but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

12 One woe is past; and, behold,

there come two woes more hereafter.

The SIXTH trumpet:

Revelation 9:13-21

King James Version

13 And the sixth angel sounded,

and I heard a voice from the four horns

of the golden altar which is before God,

14 Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet,

Loose the four angels which are bound

in the great river Euphrates.

15 And the four angels were loosed,

which were prepared for an hour, and a day,

and a month, and a year,

for to slay the third part of men.

16 And the number of the army of the horsemen

were two hundred thousand thousand:

and I heard the number of them.

17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision,

and them that sat on them, having breastplates

of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone:

and the heads of the horses

were as the heads of lions;

and out of their mouths issued

fire and smoke and brimstone.

18 By these three was the third part of men killed,

by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone,

which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth,

and in their tails:

for their tails were like unto serpents,

and had heads, and with them they do hurt.

20 And the rest of the men

which were not killed by these plagues

yet repented not of the works of their hands,

that they should not worship devils,

and idols of gold, and silver, and brass,

and stone, and of wood:

which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21 Neither repented they of their murders,

nor of their sorceries,

nor of their fornication,

nor of their thefts.

The SEVENTH trumpet:

Revelation 11:15

King James Version

15 And the seventh angel sounded;

and there were great voices in heaven, saying,

The kingdoms of this world

are become the kingdoms of our Lord,

and of his Christ;

and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Knowing all these, why wouldn't you want to be part of the Rapture?

Why be part of the terrible Tribulation?

Turn to GOD now.

JESUS tells us how:

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying,

The time is fulfilled,

and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye, and believe the gospel.
