2 Peter 3:8
King James Version
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,
and a thousand years as one day.
When JESUS speaks, I listen.
When He prophesies, I listen.
I want to catch EVERY WORD.
His TESTIMONY is the SPIRIT of PROPHECY.
That's what the angel told apostle John:
Revelation 19:10
King James Version
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him.
And he said unto me,
See thou do it not:
I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren
that have the testimony of Jesus:
worship God:
for the testimony of Jesus
is the spirit of prophecy.
And when JESUS says "the hour cometh", I pay attention.
What did the LORD mean?
What was He referring to?
What are we to be ready for?
SPIRIT led me to these verses:
John 4:21-22
King James Version
21 Jesus saith unto her,
Woman, believe me,
the hour cometh,
when ye shall neither in this mountain,
nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what:
we know what we worship:
for salvation is of the Jews.
John 4:23-24
King James Version
23 But the hour cometh,
and now is,
when the true worshippers
shall worship the Father
in spirit and in truth:
for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him
must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 5:25-27
King James Version
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
The hour is coming,
and now is,
when the dead shall hear
the voice of the Son of God:
and they that hear shall live.
26 For as the Father hath life in himself;
so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority
to execute judgment also,
because he is the Son of man.
John 5:28-29
King James Version
28 Marvel not at this:
for the hour is coming,
in the which all that are in the graves
shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth;
they that have done good,
unto the resurrection of life;
and they that have done evil,
unto the resurrection of damnation.
A few NOTES:
JESUS didn't even say "day".
He said "hour".
Apart from saying, "the hour cometh", JESUS also added:
"and now is"
Meaning, it's already here.
That it's happening right now.
Even as the Rapture is still to happen.
There are TWO kinds of "dead":
1. The dead who are still alive.
Sin makes us die.
JESUS makes us live.
John 5:25
King James Version
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
The hour is coming,
and now is,
when the dead shall hear
the voice of the Son of God:
and they that hear shall live.
2. The dead in the graves.
They will hear the voice of the LORD.
When the Rapture occurs.
John 5:28
King James Version
28 Marvel not at this:
for the hour is coming,
in the which all that are in the graves
shall hear his voice,
A born again knows the Rapture is imminent.
The TWO kinds of dead people will "meet the Lord in the air".
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
King James Version
16 For the Lord himself
shall descend from heaven
with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,
to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Every day we're still here on earth, is PURE GRACE.
JESUS commanded something of us.
Considering these crucial times.
Mark 1:15
King James Version
15 And saying,
The time is fulfilled,
and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye,
and believe the gospel.
My heart and ears are fixed upon the LORD's voice.
I want to understand completely.
I want to know perfectly.
I want to be ready.
I don't want to miss a thing.
What about you?
Are you ready?
