What does it take to become a true believer of Christ?
How do you know you're on the right path to Christ?
Paul's "Fruit of the Spirit" tells you how:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Galatians 5:22-26 NIV
True believers of Christ live and praise for the Glory of God alone, and not by their good works, but by grace and faith.
If you love God with all your heart and are focused on Him alone, you will be strong and steadfast:
They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
Psalm 112:7 NIV
John MacArthur says that the true believer goes beyond material affirmations like cross pendants, bumper stickers, and such -- but more of a "consuming desire" for God.
